Services and operating procedures

Requirements to Prepare a Quotation

We require the following information:

• For each product to be quoted, we require two sets of the latest drawings and two product samples

• Target pricing

• Annual volume requirements

The Process we go through

• Manufacturer/supplier selection

Once we receive samples of product/s you need along with the detailed specifications, and we will find the best supplier for the product/s

• Quotation

China Smart Sourcing will obtain sample, tooling and packaging quotes from the selected manufacturer/supplier. The customer quote will be prepared FOB China and will include China Smart Sourcing fee for sample items. If shipping is required we can also obtain freight estimates and quote CNF USA.

• Sample

Once the customer has accepted the quotes, a sampling will be manufactured by sending a Wire Transfer to China Smart Sourcing for tooling, the sample and packaging.

• Production Release

Once the sample meet customer expectations, a contract is to be signed by the customer and the selected manufacturer/supplier. A purchase order along with the appropriate payments will then initiate the first production release.

Payment Terms / FOB / Shipping

• China Smart Sourcing Commission

There are NO upfront charges for the research in locating and qualifying a suitable supplier for the product(s). China Smart Sourcing will be compensated through commission, based on the purchase of production products that the customer makes. The fee ranges between a contracted 5% to 15% depending on volume and the need for ongoing assistance or follow-up. The fee will remain in place for as long as the product is being purchased.

• Samples

The customer will be responsible for shipping the sample product(s) to our US office, and for pre-payment of shipping to China.

• Shipping and Price Quote

Prices for production ship lots will be quoted FOB a major port in China. All other expenses are to be borne by the customer (e.g. shipping to USA, customs, document fees and inland transportation).

China Smart Sourcing can also handle shipping if required.

• Payment Term

Once the customer has released the product for production the following optional payment terms will be required. Terms and condition may vary:

• Wire Draft. To be received before the order is processed and includes the China Smart Sourcing commission.

• Confirmed Irrevocable Letter of Credit. To be received by the manufacturer before the order is started along with a Wire Draft for the fees and shipping/handling fees, if applicable, to China Smart Sourcing.

All banking and transfer fee are the responsibility of the customer.
